Did somebody say APPLES? This fall my husband and I took out two littles apple picking and we left with 2 VERY FULL bags of apples. The kids had a great time and it was great family bonding. We actually went too early in the season and were limited to one variety but that didn’t matter at all.

We’ve eaten then, made homemade apple juice, baked apple crumble and STILL have apples left over. So in search I went for another opportunity to use apples. And VOILA! The apple chip.

Fun fact: I’ve had a mandolin for 3 years and have only used it twice. I was so excited to take it down from the top of my closet and put it to use!

This recipe is perfect for moms looking for something for the littles to do. It’s a great opportunity to practice counting the number of slices, identify shapes (circles and stars), and if they are big enough, they can even help sprinkle a little cinnamon.

My kids happened to be at school/daycare but I thoroughly enjoyed the aroma of cinnamon and apple drying out in my oven while I used the time to clean the house. MULTITASKING is KEY! Can I get and AMEN!??

Ok, enough chatter, here goes the recipe!
