My son loooves a cultural drink called Peanut Punch (Grace Foods). However, since introduced to it at almost 2 yrs old, he only refers to it as “Papa Juice”. Why you ask? Because his “Papa” (my father and his HERO) is the one who introduced it to him – so what else would it be called right?
Austin just turned 4 and every morning he asks for “Papa Juice” to start his day. While I love the drink myself, I needed to introduce an alternative to him, because when we ran out, it was like the sky was falling. Hence the introduction of “Papa Milkshake”. Do you see a trend here?
I blame myself. When I was pregnant with him, Peanut Punch was my go-to snack, meal replacement, pick me up…you name it!
This recipe has also been a great was to get my son involved in the preparation. He loves to lick the peanut butter off the spoon and control the blender speed. This recipe can be varied to suit a child’s palate as well as an adult’s. Add some strawberries and spinach for extra nutritional benefit, or a little liquor for a night cap.
